Southern Charm will appear at Valley Grove Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. and will be in concert at 6 p.m. Southern Charm is a Christian Band that has played with numerous artists across the state.

Stephenville Chapter 801 Order of the Eastern Star will meet at 6:30 p.m. with a fellowship dinner. Patsy Hewlett of Granbury Chapter 530 will present a program honoring Dr. Rob Morris.

An Immunization Clinic will be held from 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the Central Elementary Auditorium, located at 780 W. Washington Street in Stephenville.

A Madame Alexander exhibit is now on display Monday-Friday at the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council through Tuesday, Aug. 24.

Saturday, August 21

The Lingleville school reunion will take place at 2 p.m. at the school's lunch room. Visitors are welcome.

The city of Stephenville's annual household hazardous waste collection will be held from 9-11 a.m. at the Municipal Service Center, located at 1201 Glen Rose Highway. The service is provided to Stephenville residents free of charge, but you must first obtain a voucher from City Hall before dropping items off. Call 918-1223 for more information.

Splashville will host a "Back to School Luau" beginning at 1 p.m. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens, $2 for students and children two and under are free. The fun will be topped off with a movie at 8:30 p.m. and fireworks at 10.

First day of school for county schools, Pre-K - 12th grade.

VFW Post 9181 and Ladies Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. with a meal beginning at 6. Attendees are asked to bring a dessert. Anyone who has served in a war zone is invited to attend and bring their spouse.

A yard sale benefitting the move of the Oxford House will be held from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at 377 Market Place.
