Student committee members of the Tarleton State University Communication Department and TSU Career Services will host the first “After the Degree…Now What?” conference to help future and current graduates progress towards the next stage of their life after college.
Current students as well as anyone seeking career advice are invited to join this free and fun event from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, on the second floor of the Tarleton Dining Hall.
Attendees will receive goodie bags, and entries for drawings being held throughout the conference as well as invaluable career information.
The conference includes five sessions created to assist anyone searching for a job to search in the right directions, with the most relevant tools and to make each individual more marketable during these tough economic times.
Sessions to be held include: job search and technology, cooperative/competitive games, money matters, networking and professionalism as well as a panel discussion with dessert at the end of the conference.
Individuals attending the conference are asked to participate in at least two of the sessions with their online registration; however they are invited to attend all sessions.
