Allison Maxey of Stephenville joined the incoming Class of 2014 at Oklahoma State University’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences. Maxey is the daughter of William Maxey of Dakota Dunes, S.D., and Patricia Maxey of Stephenville. She graduated from Stephenville High School and earned her B.S. degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. Maxey’s honors include dean’s honor roll and distinguished student.
“We pride ourselves in graduating competent, confident, practice-ready veterinarians,” explains Dr. Michael Lorenz, dean of the veterinary center. “Veterinarians are more than an animal doctor. They help maintain a safe food supply, provide front line protection in public health, and collaborate on research that benefits humans as well as animals.”
