Ticket sales to the appreciation dinner and roast for Perry and Meldeene Elliott, long-time Stephenville residents are “brisk,” according to event coordinators

Joe Bob Huddleston and Rick Hale, co-chairs of the ticket sales committee, said they are pleased with the ticket sales. “

“Brisk is the best way to describe the sales,” Huddleston said. “We have tickets at five locations, and all report a demand for tickets to the April 5 dinner-roast.”

The event will honor the Elliotts for their long-time work in various organizations in the city and their devotion to the athletic program at Tarleton State University. The banquet will start at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, at the City Hall Restaurant at the City Limits.

Bob Glasgow, co-chair of the Advance Contributions and Gifts Committee, said, “So far, we have raised almost $80,000 for an endowed athletic scholarship at Tarleton State University in the Elliotts’ name.”

Glasgow said he hopes the final total will reach $100,000.

Tickets can be purchased at Bank of America, Citibank, First Financial Bank, Ag Texas Farm Credit Services, and BMY Financial Services. Tickets are $50 each, and will remain on sale through Friday.
