Tietjen-Edward

Amy Kay Edwards of Stephenville and Matthew Tietjen of Allen were united in marriage on July 12 in a formal, double-ring ceremony at the Graham Street Church of Christ in Stephenville with Dan Stephens officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Randall and KayAnn Edwards of Stephenville. She graduated from Stephenville High School and graduated from Abilene Christian University with Bio-Chemistry major. Amy is currently employed by Garland ISD as a chemistry teacher.

The groom is the son of Deb Tietjen of Allen and Michael Tietjen of Oxford, NJ. He is a graduate of Allen High School and graduated from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Youth and Family Ministry. Matthew is also currently employed by Garland ISD.

The bride was escorted and given away by her father, Randall Edwards. She wore a white satin dress with halter straps, sequin beaded bodice and train. The train was lace with sequin beading around it and accented with pearls. She also wore pearl drop earrings and white satin, crystal strap sandals. She carried solid white roses, miniature calla lilies, and pearl centered stephanotis.

Maid of Honor was Courtney Jean Brock, sister of the bride, from Sugarland. Bridesmaids were Heather Bashaw of Austin, Mary Anderson of Haltom City, Genger Hagood of Plano, Angie DeLaGarza of Denton, Shaley Lucas from Coppell, Casey Cope of Coppell and Betsy Partin from Allen. They wore black satin, tea-length dresses and carried bouquets of dark pink roses with a satin ribbon.

Flower girl was Ella Winter of Allen and ring bearers were Max and Will Winters of Allen, all are cousins of the groom. Ushers were Justin Hall from Abilene and Travis Warman of Plano.

Best men were Jason reed of Dallas and Jon Mills of Abilene. Groomsmen were Jason Benoit from Los Angeles, Calif., Dave Zawilinski from Des Moines, Iowa, Andy Frey of Allen, Jason Heller of Hoboken, NJ, John Brock of Sugarland and Eric Edwards of Abilene.

After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Garland.
