Special to the E-T
The Stephenville Christian School was active during the month of February, as they participated in the "Fuel Up to Play 60" events. All students in kindergarten-6th grade participated in fitness events stressing the importance of 60 minutes of exercise daily.
The students were divided into four teams which earned points for various fitness challenges. The students also put on a Health and Nutrition Fair for parents and friends of the school. Each class made a presentation of something they learned during the emphasis on nutrition in their classrooms during the month of February.
The fair was a first for the school and was very well received. Winners for all events were announced at a special assembly on last Friday.
All expenses for the Fuel Up to Play 60 events at the school were funded by a grant from Dairy Max.
