Dr. and Mrs. Jerry C. Nance proudly announce the marriage of their son Karson C. Nance to Miss Laura Leese of Andrews.  

The ceremony took place July 1, 2011, at Bell Tower Chapel, Fort Worth. Miss Leese was attended by her maid of honor and sister, Elizabeth Leese of Andrews, and bridesmaids, Lauren Sportsman of Fredricksburg, Katy Shooter of Lubbock, Natalie Luna of Andrews and Mrs. Heather Alberts of Andrews. Flower girls were cousins of the groom, Brynleigh Hooten and Brylen Hooten of Fort Worth. Ring bearers were cousins of the bride, Cooper King and Nolan Deveny of Austin. The wedding party included Becca Biard of Modesto, Calif., Shelly Ussery of Lubbock and Mrs. Jessica Washington of Andrews. 

Karson was attended by best man, Charles Ness of Stephenville, groomsmen, Tyler Lindscomb of San Antonio, Eric Edwards of Stepenville, Hunter Hendershot of Stephenville, Kyle Price of Lubbock, Daniel Adams of Stephenville, Jacob Parnell of Lubbock, Zachary Thomas of Dallas and Matthew Parker of Stephenville. The usher was cousin of the groom, Barrett Hooten, of Fort Worth. 

Dr. Jeffrey Cary, professor of theology, department of Biblical studies at Lubbock Christian University, officiated the ceremony using a Bible signed by all family members and the entire wedding party, which was gifted to the couple by the groom’s parents at the rehearsal dinner.

Following a reception on the Chapel grounds with music provided by the groom’s friends, a jazz ensemble including Mr. Ben Wilson and Clay Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Nance honeymooned in Charleston.   

Mr. and Mrs. Karson Nance reside in Austin.  Laura is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leese of Andrews, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Ouida Leese of Abilene and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Wight of Andrews.

Karson is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Kirby D. Williams of Stephenville, Mr. and Mrs. John Nance of Causey, N.M., and the great-grandson of Mrs. Elthie Hand and the late Johnny W. Hand of Friona.
