MARIETTA, OHIO- Friends and family of George C. Miller, 66, are encouraged to attend the Military Funeral Honors at Tarelton State University Military Memorial at Colonel Will L. Tate Military Park, Stephenville, on April 5, 2014 at 11 a.m.

George grew up in Texas and graduated from Tarleton State University. He was a Vietnam Veteran and went on to serve his country as an officer in the U.S. Army retiring at the rank of Major. His awards and decorations were numerous and included the Legion of Merit and the Combat Infantryman Badge. George enjoyed sailing and working on cars but his favorite hobby was spending time with his family and friends.  

He is survived by his wife Sherrie, daughter Jade Sturek and Husband Wally of Glen Allen, Va., son Matthew Miller and Wife Mary of Freeland, Wash., grandchildren Chip and Paige Sturek of Glen Allen, Va., sister Joann Williams and Husband Larry of Glen Rose and Sister Janie Hagerman and Husband Terry of Leander.
