Stephenville's Sox and Whitney's Young Guns just keep going back and forth, with no end in sight.

Last weekend in a tournament hosted by the Sox organization at Stephenville City Park, it was the Young Guns' turn to come out on top as they earned a runner-up finish behind the Burnet Mudcats. The 11U Sox and 10U Sox tied for third, with the Cleburne Hitz and Eastland Hicks with Stix tying for fifth.

The 11U Sox were 2-1 in the event, winning pool games 6-4 over Cleburne and 14-3 over the Young Guns to earn a bye into Sunday's semifinal round.

That's where Whitney avenged its pool loss, defeating the Sox 12-3. The teams will likely meet again in two weekends in Waco.

The 10U Sox fared well considering they were competing in an 11U tournament. They were 2-2 with a pair of 9-1 wins over Cleburne and losses of 18-1 and 7-3 to Burnet.
