JACKSBORO - There will be a visitation for Charles Dale Ward, 84, on Thursday from 6-7 p.m. at Coker Funeral Home and a memorial service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Jacksboro.
Charles Dale Ward was born to Charles Arthur and Mae Azalean (Jones) Ward in Sidney, Texas.
Dale was a US Army Veteran in the Korean War. He married Lila Elizabeth Henderson on Nov. 12, 1955. Together they raised three children in Jacksboro. She preceded him in death in 2001. Dale was an self-employed rancher but most of all a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Among those who will cherish his memory include his children Jana Sessions and husband Tom, Mike Ward and wife Tina and Terry Ward and wife June all of Jacksboro, brother Jerry Ward and wife Terry of Arlington, grandchildren McKenzie Cox and husband Amon, Korey Sessions and Nicole Margavitch, Bo Ward and wife Windi, Bailey Francis and husband Cal, Tayte Ward, Joshua Ward and Jaxson Ward, great-grandchildren Sofia Sessions, Addi and Creed Cox, Lilly Francis and Bo Monroe Ward and many other extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Libby Ward, his parents Charlie Ward and Mae Ward Little and his brother James Aaron "Buddy" Ward.
