There's nothing better than a good book, but in today's world where your options are almost infinite, it can be hard to make a decision on what to read next. That's where the Friends of the Stephenville Library come in, as they begin their inaugural book club Thursday night.

As the first meeting draws closer, Friends of the Stephenville Library president Lisa LaTouche expressed her expectations for the club saying, "I'm sure there are other private book clubs in town, but some people may not have access or just may not know about them. We decided to create a book club that anyone in the community can be involved in and we're extremely excited to see what the response is."

The novel being discussed is "Life After Life" by author Kate Atkinson.

"The book is an award winning novel that's received rave reviews and is super popular," LaTouche said. "Book clubs are important because people getting together to have deep conversations about interesting things is something that we need more of in our society."

The next book the club will read will be unveiled at the meeting.

The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Stephenville Public Library.
