The Harbin VFD will soon have another tanker truck thanks to a donation from Precinct 4.
During Monday's meeting, Commissioner Scot Jackson was given permission by the court to donate an old water storage tank to the Harbin Volunteer Fire Department. Jackson said the tank has been sitting unused for a number of years and the fire department could use it.
According to Harbin VFD officials, they can mount the 2,000-gallon tank on a truck they have and use it as a tanker.
In other business, Fire Marshal Steve Cole requested permission to sign a first responder agreement with Lipan First Responders. Cole told the court this was the same written agreement the county has with Cross Timbers First Responders.
"This isn't an agreement for any money, it's just a written agreement between the county and the Lipan First Responders for mutual aid," Cole said.
