Central Elementary will begin to use its new parking area and main entrance at the new building on Monday.
Even with the parking area being completed, the only traffic patterns that will change relate to the afternoon pickup schedule.
Students that were previously picked up at Paradigm will now be dismissed from the new main entrance loop. The students will be released in a similar fashion to how they were released at the Paradigm building and include students in the following classes: Cowan, Conlee, Farrow, Watkins, McElroy and Perez.
There will be two lanes and the first six cars will be directed to lane one, then the next six cars will continue into lane two and these directions will continue until traffic is clear enough to move down to one lane.
Access to the main office will now be available from the Washington Street entrance. This means that at 8:05 a.m. the McNeil and Baxter Street entrances will be secured and no outside access will be allowed.
Paddock Street will be used to enter the main entrance loop and will be one-way going south. The exit for the main entrance loop is to turn left on Paddock and up to McNeil or you may cross Paddock and continue onto College going east.
With the project nearing total completion, a community wide ribbon cutting and open house will take place on Sunday, April 27, at 3 p.m.
