Nathan LaRue likes to surround himself with the arts. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music, watching movies, reading and spending time on his computer. The 18-year-old son of Lori and Daniel LaRue said he hopes to one day become a radio personality.

"After graduation I'm headed first to Ranger College to get my basics, then to Weatherford for a year or two," LaRue said. "Then I'll finish my degree in computer science and music at Tarleton. Hopefully, I'll get an internship and get right into the radio business after I get my degree."

1. What are some of your extracurricular activities?

I enjoy singing in SHS Choir and a little group called "In The Mix" which is also a choir. I'm a member of the One-Act Play group. I'm the set manager and we are taking our production of Wild Strawberries to the district competition in Alvarado on Saturday.

2. What type of music do you enjoy?

I've got classic rock on the radio in my car at the moment. For classic rock, 92.5 is a great station.

3. What is your best memory of high school?

Winning the teacher merit award the fifth six weeks of my sophomore year.

4. Who is your funniest classmate?

Jacob Lewis. He makes me laugh.

5. Who is your biggest influence?

I'd have to say probably Mark Walberg. He's a really good actor and director. I've seen all his movies, most of them more than once.
