Stephenville High School has 10 seniors who have been selected to compete in this summer's Big Country Chevy Dealers Fellowship of Christian Athletes All-Star Festival in Abilene.
Selected to represent Stephenville are David Jackson, Max Jones, Luis Garcia and Jonah Noah from football, Chrislyn Wells and Tiara Green in volleyball, Dally Friedrich in girls basketball, Malik Taylor in boys basketball and Ciara Dittfurth and Haylee Fritts in softball.
The boys and girls basketball games will be played at 6 and 8 p.m. on June 12 in Brownwood, baseball and softball will be at Angelo State University at 4:30 and 7 p.m. on June 13 in San Angelo and volleyball and football will conclude the week at noon and 7 p.m., respectively, on June 14. Volleyball is at Wylie High School and football at Shotwell Stadium.
All 250 participants in the festival will be honored at an induction banquet on April 27 at the Abilene Civic Center. Annual award winners will then be honored at the area FCA and Abilene Youth Sports Authority awards banquet on May 17 at Abilene Christian University's Hunter Welcome Center.
Participants are encouraged to raise $500 for the Big Country Chapter of the FCA. Businesses donating to the cause are recognized in the magazine-style program that is distributed at the banquet.
