It's finally here! The long work week is behind us and it's time for some fun. The E-T has compiled a list of our favorite things to do in the area to keep you and yours busy and happy, so enjoy. And TGIF!

1. Knights of Columbus Fish Fry

If you're craving some fried fish then head over to Newman Hall at the corner of Washington and Lillian streets from 5-7 p.m. tonight. Plates are $8 for senior citizens and kids under 12, and $10 for everyone else.

2. Parent's Night Out at In-Zone

Every couple needs a night out and In-Zone has got you covered without having to hassle with finding a babysitter tonight. Kids ages 4-12 can have a fun night with inflatable bounce houses, dinner, arts and crafts and games. Cost is $20 for pre-registration and $25 without a reservation.

3. THSRA Region 3 Rodeo Finals

The action gets started at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Lone Star Arena where you can see some of the best junior barrel racing and calf roping the area has to offer. The rodeo will last through Sunday.

4. Big Joe Walker at Bostock's

If you're looking for some great music, grab a table at Bostock's Billiards and Bar Saturday night and enjoy music from recording artist Big Joe Walker. For admission and more information contact Bostocks at 965-3311.

5. Catch a flick

With a chance of rain this weekend, there's no better time to grab some popcorn and take the kids to a movie at Cinemark Cinema 6. It's a great, family-friendly way to spend an afternoon.
