For 26 years the the United Methodist Women of Stephenville have served thousands of delicious baked potatoes to hungry residents with the intention of helping children in Stephenville begin the school year with

new school supplies.

This year's annual baked potato luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at the First United Methodist Church on Washington Street.

"Funds raised will be used to purchase school supply kits for children in Stephenville," said Cynthia Rives. "In 2013, partnering with First Baptist Church, Oakdale UMC, and First Presbyterian Church, the FUMC United Methodist Women provided kits for over 330 SISD kids. This year’s goal is to increase the number of school kits provided in an effort to make sure all children begin the new school year with the supplies they need."

The lunch consists of a large “loaded” baked potato, veggies, bread, and a homemade dessert for $6.

The public is invited to dine in the Fellowship Hall or place an order for takeout or delivery by calling 965-5046.

The women will deliver lunches to groups of five or more.

Delivery order forms are available at the church office and must be turned in by noon on Monday, March 24.
