Ciara Dittfurth mowed down nine hitters on strikes and hurled a two hitter from the circle to shutout Coachoma 7-0 as Stephenville competed in the Snyder Invitational.

Dittfurth didn't issue as much as a walk while pounding the strike zone on 70.5 percent of her 61 pitches. She allowed three groundouts and a pair of fly outs as the Honeybees played error-free defense.

At the plate, all-state outfielder Ashlynn Mayfield was 2-for-2 with a walk and a pair of runs driven in. Sierra Varnado was 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run and Sami Shaffer drove in two runs with a double.

The Bees had 11 hits against Coahoma.

Offense was the story in another Stephenville win, 13-5 over Fort Worth Christian. The Bees scored in all four at bats including eight runs in the second, enough to wipe out FWC's five-run third.

Kali Smith, Mayela Davalos and Chrislyn Wells all had doubles for the Bees. All three Honeybees were 2-for-3 at the plate with Smith driving in three runs, Wells bringing in two and scoring twice and Davalos adding one RBI.

Mayfield, Varnado and Chelsea Baggett each scored twice in the rout.
