Highly heralded Stephenville junior quarterback Jarrett Stidham made his college choice known Friday evening, when he announced on Twitter he has verbally committed to Texas Tech.
Stidham had 22 offers from many of the NCAA's top programs. He led the Yellow Jackets to the 3A Division I semifinals in 2012, when he passed for more than 2,000 yards and rushed for just short of 1,000.
Stidham is rated as the No. 1 junior dual threat quarterback in the nation by ESPN and is a five-star recruit according to 247 Sports. Rivas and Scout each list him as a four-star recruit.
Texas Tech, coached by former Red Raider quarterback Kliff Kingsbury, was 8-5 in 2013. The Red Raiders ended the year with a 37-23 upset of No. 16 Arizona State in the Holiday Bowl.
