Noah Hobbs is the son of two local veterinarians, and while he loves animals, the senior at Stephenville High School said he has no plans to go into the family business. Hobbs, who is the 17-year-old son of Marlon and Karen Hobbs, hopes to study mechanical engineering in college.
When he isn't pitching for the Yellow Jackets varsity baseball team or busy with the robotics team, Hobbs enjoys hunting and fishing with his friends.
1. What do you want to do after graduation?
After graduation I will be attending Texas A&M University in College Station and studying to become a mechanical engineer. You can pretty much do anything with a mechanical engineering degree, except be a vet. I'm not really sure what I want to do yet though.
2. What is your best memory of Stephenville High School?
Last year, baseball. Playing with all those guys and going as far as we did was a great experience. Hopefully we'll go that far or further this year. We're planning on it.
3. What is your favorite class and who is your favorite teacher?
It's a tough one, but Mr. Goodwin's calculus class would probably be my favorite because that's just what I like. It's hard, but if you figure out how, you can solve it. I really like him as a teacher.
4. Where would you like to be in 10 years?
I don't exactly know, but I know I want to be successful. I want to live in a town kind of like Stephenville but not this one specifically.
5. Who is your biggest influence?
When I was little it was Michael Young, when he played for the Rangers because he was a good person and always did the right thing.
