The man accused of gunning down Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield is scheduled to appear in court Friday for another pre-trial hearing.
Eddie Routh will be escorted to the Donald R. Jones Justice Center early Friday morning by a bevy of law enforcement officials before the 9 a.m. proceeding.
District Attorney Alan Nash said the court will hear a motion to suppress statements Routh gave to authorities the night he was arrested. Nash said a Texas Ranger who interviewed Routh following his arrest is expected to testify.
The proceeding is expected to last 30-45 minutes.
Routh is accused of shooting and killing Kyle and Littlefield at a shooting range at Rough Creek Lodge on Feb. 2, 2013.
He is being represented by Stephenville attorney Shay Isham and Fort Worth attorney Warren St. John.
Routh's trial is set to begin May 5. He is being held at the Erath County Jail on a $3 million bond for capital murder.
