The smell of fried fish will fill Newman Hall Friday when the Knights of Columbus kick off its annual Lenten Fish Fry.
The weekly event will take place from 5-7 p.m. every Friday through April 11.
The meal includes fish, cole slaw, corn, hushpuppies, french fries, tea and dessert.
Cost for the all-you-can-eat meal is $8 for senior citizens and children under 12 and $10 for everyone else. Take-out service is available for $10 per plate by calling 965-5693. Take-our orders can be picked up behind Newman Hall on Centennial Street.
"We invite everyone to come out and support our Fish Fry again this year," said Grand Knight Mike Waguespack. "All the proceeds go back into the community to help support the many worthwhile projects served by our benefiting agencies."
A portion of the proceeds from each week will benefit various local organizations. On Friday, Stephenville Senior Citizens Center will be the beneficiary.
Other beneficiaries include:
March 14 - TREAT program
March 21 - H.O.P.E. Inc.
March 28 - Choices Clinic
