A slew of businesses and city and government offices will be closed during the Christmas holiday.
The cities of Dublin and Stephenville, as well as Erath County offices, will be closed today and Wednesday
The Empire-Tribune office will close at 2 p.m. today and will reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday. The closings, however, will not disrupt the publication of the newspaper or delivery.
Local post offices will observe regular business hours today, but will not deliver mail on Wednesday.
Likewise, most area banks will close early today and reopen for business Thursday.
For those in town enjoying the holiday, many area bars, convenience stores and Cinemark Cinema 6 will remain open and ready to entertain on Christmas Day.
And for all those last minute shoppers, Wal-Mart and H-E-B will be open until 8 p.m. today, but will be closed Christmas Day.
