An Erath County grand jury indicted five individuals on a variety of charges.

Carlos Rodrigues Garcia, 22, was indicted for aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony. The charge was labeled aggravated due to the victim being 13 years old. He was arrested in Bexar County on Nov. 6 and posted bond shortly after.

"It's important that we're continually vigilant in prosecuting felony crimes of all levels and preventing people from committing the crimes and deterring others from criminal activity," District Attorney Alan Nash said.

Others indicted include:

Steven Lee Goins, 36, for improper photography or visual recording, a state jail felony.

Jodie Fayeann Jones, 38, for medicaid fraud, a third-degree felony.

Tammy Leeann Penaloza for theft of less than $1,500 with two prior convictions, a state jail felony.

Jamie Adam Sell, 27, for continuous violence against family, a third-degree felony.
