The 20th Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Showcase at Tarleton State University wasn't affected by ice this time around - and the event went on without a hitch Monday afternoon.

John Mezzell, a resident of Graham, was one of many vendors who filled the Barry B. Thompson Student Center ballrooms selling everything from crafts and jewelry to beauty products and cookware.

"We do around 50 shows a year and this is one we really enjoy attending," Mezzell said. "It's a lot of fun running around the country meeting different kinds of folks."

Stephenville resident Janelle Beran enjoyed the afternoon Christmas shopping.

"I came to the showcase to find some extra Christmas gifts and I did that," she said. "The whole thing is fun and I'm really glad they were able to still put the show on."

The showcase was hosted by the Tarleton State University Staff Council with the proceeds from the sale of vendor tables supporting the Staff Council's employee scholarship and grants program.
