It's unusual, but it happens. The Dublin City Council and Dublin ISD board of trustees will both meet on Monday evening.
Due to last week's bad weather, the council had to postpone its meeting and will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Dublin City Hall. The council will hear from Public Works Director Cory James, who will make a presentation on how he plans to continue to work with the TCEQ to keep the city of Dublin within the state compliance standards. The city has struggled with compliance in the past with its wastewater treatment facility and water delivery system.
In other business, the council will hear from Mayor David Leatherwood about the city's Planning and Zoning Committee. Lee Leatherwood, who served on the board, had to step down because he is moving to Stephenville. The mayor said he will recommend the council appoint Sammy Moore to the committee.
At 7 p.m. the Dublin ISD school board will meet in the Administration Meeting Room, located at 420 N. Camden Street. Board members will discuss various school related issues including campus and district academic plans, employee resignations and employment opportunities and student enrollment numbers.
