Huckabay's boys have been putting together impressive defensive performances, but nothing like Friday's beat down at Perrin.

The Indians (5-5) won 71-10 in a 1A Division II mismatch in which three different Huckabay players scored more than Perrin's entire team.

Junior Fragoza more than doubled up the opponent with 27 points, while Garrett Stewart netted 12 and Cade Bray 11. Gavin Fuentes almost matched Perrin's score with nine points, Eduardo Sanchez added four, Ky Bray three, Levi Dowell three and Cade Little two.

The Lady Indians (1-10) slipped at Perrin, 51-32, despite a double-digit night by Erin Baker with 13 points. Narda Fragoza added seven, Bailey Woolridge six, and four players - Emily Altebaumer, Makayla Metsger, Taylor Lowe and Marisol Hernandez - had two each.

Huckabay is home Tuesday for battles against Zephyr. The varsity girls tip off at 6:30 p.m., followed by the boys at 8.
