There has been another casualty of the recent ice storm which has blanketed most of Texas since Friday. The Stephenville Chamber of Commerce has announced that tonight's Holly Jolly Christmas event has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

"After much consideration, due to the extended severe weather, the decision has been made to cancel our Holly Jolly Christmas Festival," Jennifer Grandpre, director of operations for the Chamber, stated in a press release. "The temperatures are forecasted to only be above freezing for a few hours during the day Tuesday and back below freezing by 5 p.m. With everyone being stuck at home the last four days, many of our businesses and organizations have not been able to get all their booth supplies in order. We love producing this event and seeing all the families enjoy the Christmas spirit and festivities, but agreed that, all things considered, this was the best decision."
