If you're looking for new ways to give this holiday season, consider the First United Methodist Church's Alternative Gift Fair.

The gift fair gives people an opportunity to donate to worthy causes and have a unique Christmas card which states, "A gift to _____ has been given in your honor," created for their family and friends.

The following charities will be available for donations at the event –Kenyan AIDS Orphans, Erath County Habitat for Humanity, Heifer Project, CASA, United Methodist Women Mission, H.O.P.E., Meals on Wheels, FUMC Food Pantry, Backpack Buddies, Aldersgate Enrichment Center and the United Methodist Committee on Relief.

In addition to the charities available for donation and the Christmas cards other items also will available. Those include Equal Exchange Coffee, Fair Trade Gifts, United Methodist Women's Knives and Cookbooks, holiday goodies and African jewelry. All proceeds from these items will go toward supporting missions in the community, state and world.
