Once Lingleville's boys built a 47-11 lead, the rest was just a formality in the opening game of their home tournament Thursday morning.

The Cardinals went on to rip Gustine 74-32, but didn't return to the court the rest of the weekend. The winter storm that plowed through the area forced the cancelation of the Cardinals' Thursday night game and all the Friday and Saturday contests.

Robert VanKranenburg tallied 25 points - 15 of them before halftime - and 11 rebounds to lead the Cards, who had eight other scorers. Tim Griffin and Ruperto Huerta had nine each, Jayden Stoker and Bart VanKranenburg netted eight apiece, Colby Stoker, Hendrick Huisman and Tucker Click all scored four and Josh Alvarado chipped in with three.

Lingleville visits struggling Ranger at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The Lady Cardinals play at 6:30 p.m.
