No. 24 Tarleton Sate picked up a pair of double-doubles and slammed overmatched Arlington Baptist College 104-36 in a women's game at Wisdom Gym Tuesday night.
The TexAnns (6-1) picked up 22 points and 10 rebounds from All-American Kiara Wright, and when she wasn't doing the damage freshman Ikpeaku Iwobi took over with 11 points and 13 boards inside.
Sophomore guard Raven McGrath poured in 18 points for the TexAnns, including a 3-4 mark from outside the arc. Keyra Johnson and Kathy Thomas scored 10 each while Shanae Lowrance, Travanti Downes and Karli Moore netted six each.
The TexAnns shot 48.1 percent from the floor while limiting Arlington Baptist to just 27.5 percent. Tarleton collected 62 rebounds to ABC's 20, including a 26-3 advantage in offensive boards. The TexAnns had 25 assists to Arlington Baptist's six, and turned 30 ABC turnovers into 43 points.
Tarleton had a major advantage in the paint, 58-16, and off the bench, 58-18.
The TexAnns are idle until Dec. 17 when they host Cedarville (Ohio) at 6 p.m. It will be their final game before the calendar flips to 2014.
