The Stephenville Fire Department hopes to be on a roll this Christmas season as they start up their annual toy drive with the Optimist Club.
The event, which has been annual for around the past ten years, is an effort to make sure no child goes without Christmas in Erath County.
"A lot of people are still having a tough time financially, some of us are recovering but not all. Our community has been super at helping people out and we really expect this to continue," said president of the Fire Fighters Association Jack Hinds.
The fire fighters will be at Wal-Mart Sunday, December 1, to accept toy donations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. They also will be at Wal-Mart Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8 to accept donations from the same times.
"The only thing we ask for is new toys for those between the ages of newborn and 16-years-old," Hinds mentioned.
In addition to the Wal-Mart location, additional drop off points include the Dollar General off of Hwy 281, H&R Block off of Wolfe Nursery Road and you can also drop items off at Fire Station #1 and #2.
Hinds encourages the public to help out those less fortunate.
"We hope we have another great turnout and help out those around us that maybe need. All the toys we collect will stay in Erath County and will make an Erath County child have a memorable Christmas."
