Henderson Junior High split its C-team games with Aledo this week, the eighth graders from HJH winning 25-17, 22-25 and 25-16 while the Aledo seventh graders were victorious 19-25, 25-14, 25-11.

Leading the HJH eighth graders were Brenna Yarbrough and Josie Cox, who both filled up the stat sheet. Yarbrough amassed 17 points to go with five aces, a kill and a block, while Cox racked up 11 points, five aces, three kills and three blocks.

Ciarra Akins had nine points, Tatum Brinkly scored seven with an ace and three blocks and Paige Ferguson also scored seven. Karlie Hare had six points, Paige Dennis added five and an ace, Briana Leos scored five, Hannah Truesdell scored twice with an ace and a kill, Chelsey Mata had two including an ace, Maycee Decker scored a point and posted a block and Morgan Rue contributed a point.

The seventh graders were led by Alei Williams with nine points and an ace. Reece Kilgore, Gabriella Williams, Bailey Sanderford and Allissa Adams all had three points, and Sanderford added an ace. Cody Hawks scored two points and Lori Montgomery had one.
