Henderson Junior High swept six volleyball matches from Granbury Middle School last Thursday.
The eighth grade A Honeybees dominated Granbury 25-13, 25-16 behind 11 points from Julia Flores and 10 by Payton Wall. Flores also had an ace and two kills, while Wall served up three aces, landed two kills and posted two blocks.
Tesslie Baker had seven points, two kills and two blocks for the Bees, while Lexie Spark collected five points, an ace and two kills. Jordan Carter contributed a pair of points, a pair of kills and a block, Hailey Martin had an ace and Karsyn Kimbrough scored a point.
The seventh grade A Bees rolled to a 25-8, 25-10 win. Bailey McBee paced the attack with nine points and two aces, while Mallory McCully and Madelyn Heupel added seven points and six, respectively.
Other seventh A contributors included Chloe Goodman with five points and an ace, and Hannah Huckabee, Jayci Morton, Destiny Hale and Jessica Howell with three points each. Morton also had a block.
The eighth grade B club won 25-17, 25-8 with Sidney Boynton scoring six points, landing two kills and stuffing three blocks. Sierrah Martinez scored five times, Ashton Garner had four points, an ace and two kills, Carlene McCully tallied four points and a kill, Brenna Yarbrough added four points and two aces, Alexis De Los Santos scored three times and Leah Dowell had a point on an ace.
HJH dominated the seventh grade B affair 25-14, 25-6, thanks largely to 11 points and a kill by Madison Gilder, and nine points and six aces from Skye Gaitan. Carlee Hightower had six points, an ace and a kill, while Savannah Ivey also scored six points. Aubrey Bullard aded three points and three aces, Kaylee Dahl scored twice and Kendra Robinson had a point and an ace. Hanna Powell contributed a block and a kill.
The eighth C Bees won 25-13, 25-9. Chelsey Mata scored seven times and Karlie Hare added six points to go with two aces and two blocks. Maycee Decker had four points and two aces, Ciarra Akins added two points, Paige Dennis collected a point and a kill, Josie Cox had a point and a block and Paige Ferguson scored a point.
HJH won the seventh grade C match 25-4, 25-9. Reece Kilgore led the way with eight points and an ace, whie Lorie Montgomery had six points and two aces and Bailey Sanderford added six points with one ace. Ariel Bell and Alei Williams posted identical stat lines with five points and two aces each, Gabriella Williams had four points and two aces and Peyton Barberee and Abigail Quirl each finished with a point and an ace.
