Lingleville defeated Perrin in four sets Saturday morning, winning 25-15, 21-25, 25-23, 25-16.
Kaymee Boeve's return from injury was a big lift for the Lady Cardinals, and first-year head coach Laura Kouns was pleased with the way Boeve and several others performed.
"Chelsea Hicks was on fire today with back row hits, as was Kaymee," Kouns said. "Marley Wood and Taylor Stevens played very well at the net, Maranda Conatser had great saves to get the ball over and Sandra Nava played good defense. Madeline Carrizales played a good game, also."
Lingleville starts district play Tuesday when the Lady Cardinals visit De Leon.
