After finishing third in pool play, the seventh grade B volleyball team from Henderson Junior High was eliminated in a nail biter in the second round of bracket action in Granbury's B-team tournament last weekend.

The Honeybees dominated Everman 15-4 and 15-6 in pool play and defeated Crowley Stevens 25-12 and 25-13 in bracket play. Joshua (15-9, 15-12) and Weatherford Hall (15-7, 15-13) beat Stephenville in pool play, and Weatherford Tison knocked off the Bees in a 19-25, 26-24 and 28-26 thriller in the second round of the silver bracket.

Leading HJH was Lauren Beaty, who amassed 28 points with eight aces and a kill. Carlee Hightower had 19 points, eight aces and four kills.

Madison Gilder tallied 13 points, seven aces and three kills, Savannah Powell had 12 points, an ace and a kill and Savannah Ivey registered 12 points and four aces.

Kendra Roberson had 11 points, five aces and a kill, and Jayleigh Young contributed 10 points, three aces and a kill. Skye Gaitan had seven points and four aces, Emily Stroebel three points, Kaylee Dahl two points and an ace and Hannah Bernays added a point.

The seventh B Bees also faced Burleson Kerr last week, winning 25-12, 2-25, 25-8. They were led by Powell with eight points, Hightower with seven and an ace, Beaty with six and three aces and Gaitan with six and an ace.

Dahl rolled up five points and two aces, Gilder had four points and Roberson added one.
