STEPHENVILLE- Funeral services for Lee Anna (Chalk) Whitten, 65, who after a lengthy battle with cancer was called home, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Rising Star with Sue Skidmore officiating. Burial will follow in the Blake Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday prior to the service.

She was born in Gorman to Donald and Berna Lee (Chick) Chalk. She was an educator and taught school in Breckenridge, where she also attended The People Church.áLee Anna was a concert pianist, she quilted, as well was an accomplished poet, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Lee Anna is survived by her daughter, Davanna Whitten of Stephenville, son, Don Whitten and fiancÚ Cristy Ogle of Stephenville, sisters, Paula Carpenter of Rising Star and Wanda King of New Ulm, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Donna Priest.
