If your regular route takes you through the intersection of N. Graham Street and Lingleville Road, you might want to change it up next week.
Natalie Galindo, public information officer for the Texas Department of Transportation, said crews will be on site at the intersection of FM 8 and State Highway 108 beginning next week to begin a mill and pavement overlay.
"If the weather permits, crews will begin work on Monday (Sept. 23) morning," Galindo said. "While the job isn't expected to last longer than a week, that depends on weather and other factors."
She said TxDOT is recommending all motorists who have an alternate route, take it. However, there will be flaggers present during the project to direct drivers through the work zone as safely as possible.
The project, which consists of milling up the old asphalt and laying pavement in the intersection, is one of many TxDOT is currently working on in Erath County.
"TxDOT appreciates the patience of motorists, and encourages drivers to pay attention to all warning signs, flaggers and lowered speed limits within the construction work zones while crews are working diligently to complete this project as quickly and safely as possible," Galindo said.
