The Dublin ISD board of trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the board room at the junior high school.

The board will discuss student enrollment; employee resignations, terminations and hirings; board training opportunities; possible amendments to the 2013-14 budget and hear from Vicki Stone on school improvement.

The board will also consider a resolution giving 4-H organizations the same extracurricular status of FFA or FCCLA. This has been a longstanding discussion throughout several school districts in the state, Dublin ISD being one. The motion will allow students participating in 4-H events the same privileges those missing classes for FFA or FCCLA would have.

The board is also scheduled to take up cheerleading expenses.

According to district officials, a concerning factor in many Dublin ISD students' participation in cheerleading are the expenses and the district is looking to change that. Board members will hear from sponsors and parents at the October meeting.
