Stacie Murrah and Danielle Barker had career outings, and Meg Umbel landed a block for the winning point in a five-set thriller as Tarleton State (5-2) swept two matches in the Oredigger Classic in Golden, Colo. Friday.

Umbel's block gave Tareton a 17-15 fifth-set victory over Western Oregon in the nightcap. The TexAnns split the first four sets, 27-25, 24-26, 25-23, 18-25.

Stacie Murrah paved the way with 26 kills, smashing her previous career high of 17 that came in the same event last year. She hit .273 and scored 27.5 points, more than twice any other TexAnn.

Barker, who moved to No. 2 on Tarleton's career assists list during the earlier win, may have had the best performance of her storied college career. She amassed 58 assists and 22 digs against Western Oregon, both career highs.

Katie Covell racked up 10 kills and 17 digs in Tarleton's third straight win.

The earlier victory was a 26-24, 25-16, 25-11 sweep of Fort Lewis. Kaitlyn White had 12 kills and Murrah added 11. Barker had 31 assists and 10 digs.

The TexAnns faced sixth-ranked Washburn and host Colorado School of Mines on Saturday.
