Ranger College is growing at a vibrant rate against all odds as most state-wide numbers suggest a downward trend in two-year colleges. The fall 2013 headcount at the school was 1,897 compared to last year's 1,923.
The numbers show a decrease, however, due to the college no longer teaching the general education courses for TSTC which included 147 students last year.
The new Erath County campus opening in Stephenville in January will offer increased programs, and enrollment is expected to increase even more.
"We expect the enrollment to continue to increase even while the economy continues its upward trend," said President Dr. Bill Campion.
