While the Yellow Jackets and the Texans take the field in DFW this weekend, the Empire-Tribune rounded up a few local happenings for those sticking close to home.
1 - Texas Country Music
Head to City Limits Friday night and enjoy food and drink specials while listening to cool tunes by the Josh Abbott Band. Tickets are $15 pre-sale and $18 the day of the show. Doors open at 8 p.m. For more information, call City Limits at 968-5222.
2 - Foster's Home Day
The residents and administrators of Foster's Home For Children are hosting an event to allow donors to see what they are supporting. A brisket dinner will be served for free to all guests beginning at noon Saturday in the Mabee Center Gym. For more information, call 968-2143.
3 - Bill's Memorial at 281 Speedway
Got the need for speed? Check out the modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks, Southern SportMods, sport compacts, wing modifieds and street stocks at the 281 Speedway racetrack north of Stephenville on Saturday. 4- Morgan Mill Arts and Crafts Fair
The Morgan Mill community invites you to join them Saturday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. for their annual Arts and Crafts Fair at the Tabernacle. There will be lots of homemade arts and crafts and even a few Christmas decorations.
5- Art exhibit at CTFAC
Check out the exhibit at the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Center's River North Gallery by Mary Waters and her students. The exhibit will be on display during gallery business hours on Friday and Saturday. For more information, contact the gallery at 965-6190.
