No. 4 Dublin hasn't lost often early on in the 2013 season, but when it has, it's usually come two at a time.
The Lady Lions (18-5) dropped their second straight road match Tuesday night, as Peaster swept its way to a 25-11, 26-24, 25-13 victory. The last time Dublin dropped two straight was in the semifinals and third-place match of the Gatesville tournament, and that was to a pair of 3A powers in Gatesville and China Spring.
Dublin, which has just one loss at home, returns to the friendly confines of Roy and Lynn Neff Gym Saturday morning for a 10 a.m. bout with Bangs. It's the Lady Lions' annual pink-out game, with fans from both communities encouraged to wear pink in honor of breast cancer awareness.
The Lady Lions are closing in on the start of district play at Eastland on Oct. 5. Before that time, they visit 3A Lampasas, 1A Evant and 2A Godley, and host 2A Bangs, 3A Venus and 2A Keene.
