Chalk Mountain Masonic Lodge 894 will host its fourth annual Chalk Mountain Fun Run Saturday, Sept. 21. The run will be an estimated 125 mile motorcycle ride on the back roads of Erath County.
To participate, a $20 donation is required and a $10 donation for each passenger. The money raised will benefit the lodge, Three-Way School and district 67 of Carter BloodCare. With each donation a chili dog lunch will also be provided, and there will be cash drawings at the end of the ride.
"The whole thing is just a fun ride. We ride around together and enjoy the country," said James Carlile, junior warden. "It's a way to get people out on their bikes for a leisurely ride and it's a great way to support Three-Way school and Carter BloodCare."
Signups will begin at 9:30 a.m. on the day of the ride at Chalk Mountain Lodge on County Road 198 off Hwy. 67. The first bike out will leave at 10:30 a.m.
