Class A De Leon pulled a shocker over the weekend, upsetting visiting 2A No. 4 Dublin 18-25, 25-20, 25-18, 23-25, 17-15 in a marathon volleyball match.

Dublin (18-4) had swept De Leon in a best-of-three tournament match just a week prior.

"We went in too overconfident. We beat De Leon in our tournament, and I think the girls thought it would be easy," admitted Dublin head coach Ryan Lewis Monday. "De Leon played like they had something to prove. They were firing on all cylinders with their attacks, and we never really came alive to respond."

Dublin was led by Jazmine Zapata with nine kills and 37 digs.

The Lady Lions are on the road again today, visiting Peaster at about 6 p.m. following a 4:30 p.m. junior varsity match.
