Located at 106 N. Patrick Street in downtown Dublin, Dwelling Place Christian Womenís Job Corps (CWJC) exists to serve, educate and empower women for life. We will begin our eighth year of educational classes on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Any woman age 18 or over wanting to gain job and life skills is eligible to attend. Interested women may stop by the office Tuesday through Saturday between 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. to fill out an application, or call 254-445-2228 for more information. There is no cost to participants enrolled in this program.

Classes are conducted from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Participants gain knowledge, skills, self-esteem and courage to face the future as business women of integrity. Projected classes include: Job Skills Training, Personal Development, Family Relationships, Home & Financial Management, Boundaries/Communications, Computer Training, Bible Study and Creative Arts. All of the classes are taught in a Christian context that invites the women to draw from the strength of Christ as they learn new and better ways to conduct themselves at work and at home.

Though CWJC is not a job placement agency, the women enrolled in the program are eligible to take part in our work study program which encourages them to participate in area job positions as they learn to be better trained and more responsible employees. Dwelling Place CWJC is one of many sites across the state of Texas and operates as a stand-alone 501c3 tax exempt organization. Each CWJC site is set up to individually to meet the needs of women its community. Our site is a classroom location with two on site job facilities: The Rags to Riches Resale Shop, and the Half Penny Coffee House Ė of which both are used by our participants as work study sites to gain job experience.
