Aaron Callaway is one of the few holdovers from Dublin's regional tournament team last season, and he did more than just show his leadership and value to the 2012-13 Lions in their season opener at Millsap Tuesday night.
Callaway amassed 32 points and Dublin (1-0) outscored Millsap (0-1) 27-14 in the fourth quarter to win 54-46. The Bulldogs took a 32-27 lead into the final stanza.
Zoey Kendall burst onto the varsity scene with an impressive all-around line of 11 points, nine rebounds, four blocked shots and four steals for Dublin.
Abel Aguilar scored four for the Lions, Devan Thompson added three and Dirk DeVries and Ozzy Kendall each had two.
Dublin hosts Tolar at 8 p.m. Friday.
