Dublin found the end zone and took its next step toward kicking off its 2012 football campaign with a scrimmage in Tolar Friday.

Brady Holleman threw a scoring strike to Travis Blazi during game-simulation that ended the scrimmage. Tolar scored twice during the same phase.

"We flew around and got after it," Cervetto said. "There are holes to be filled, but the kids are getting better every day."

Dublin opens its season against longtime rival Hico at 7:30 p.m. next Friday at Dublin Memorial Stadium.

Cervetto and staff scouted Hico during its scrimmage with Clifton Thursday.

"They looked fast, plenty quick," Cervetto said of the Tigers. "They always look fast, and they're always a big challenge. We're just excited to get the season started."
