Law enforcement officials working on a drug trafficking operation walked away with cash, drugs and weapons late Thursday night.
According to Erath County Sheriff's Investigator Greg Stewart, a search warrant was executed in the 1200 block of Paddock Street where investigators with the sheriff's office, Stephenville police and inspectors with the U.S. Postal Service found more than six pounds of hydroponic marijuana, $1,000 in U.S. currency, weapons and evidence of marijuana distribution. The estimated street value of hydroponic marijuana, also known as "dro," is $5,000-$6,000 per pound.
"Three suspects have been identified as being involved in the distribution of the marijuana but remain at large at this time," Stewart said. "We anticipate several arrests to be made as a result of this investigation when it is completed."
