Dublin is narrowing its search for a permanent city manager.

Out of 25 applicants, only seven are qualified, according to Human Resources Director Keri King.

King is conducting phone interviews with candidates to narrow the pool to three to five finalists.

Face-to-face interviews with King are scheduled for Sept. 4-7. King will then present a list of finalists to the city council. The council will then conduct additional interviews and consider hiring a candidate in October.

Dublin Police Chief Lannie is serving as interim city manager and reportedly has not applied for the position.
